The Hotel de France is located at the heart of the city centre, behind the famous Negresco and the Palais Masséna, and under 20 minutes’ walk from the main places of interest.
We’re a minute from the sea, 5 minutes from the tram stop (for access to the airport, Masséna and the port), 150 m from the taxi stop (Negresco), and 20 minutes’ walk (10 minutes by bus) from Nice-Ville Station.

From the airport
Tram: Take the new West-East tram (€1.50) on line 2 from the airport to the “Alsace Lorraine” stop (20 minutes). Then, head south along Boulevard Gambetta towards the sea for 4 minutes. Then turn left onto Rue de France; the hotel is just 1 minute away!
To enjoy a ride by private chauffeur via the Promenade des Anglais, book via our reception for reduced rates. The chauffeur will meet you upon your arrival with a sign bearing your name on it and lead you directly and quickly to the hotel via the Promenade des Anglais, all in 10 minutes!

Bus via the Promenade: Get to the Promenade des Anglais in 25 minutes on line 98 (€6) from the airport heading towards the city centre. Stop at the Congrès/Promenade stop and take a few steps back towards the Palais Negresco. Behind the main entrance, Rue de Rivoli begins. Follow this road for 100 m until you reach Rue de France. Turn left and you’ll find the hotel.

From the station (Nice-Ville on Rue Thiers)
On foot: This is a 14-minute walk. Cross the Avenue Thiers and follow Rue Berlioz straight ahead until you reach Rue de Rivoli. Rue de France is the second to last road before the sea, at the same level as the gardens of the Palais Masséna. The hotel is on your left.
By bus: Take Bus 12 (€1.50) for 5 minutes, from the “Gare Thiers” stop to “Gambetta/Dante”. Continue on foot along Boulevard Gambetta towards the sea, then turn left onto Rue de France. The hotel is 2 minutes away, visible from Boulevard Gambetta.

From the motorway
From the west: on the A8 motorway, take exit 50 for “Nice Centre”, go along the Promenade des Anglais, turn left onto Boulevard Gambetta and then take the first on your right (Rue de France). The hotel is visible 250 m away.
From the east: tale exit 54 off the A8 motorway and head down Boulevard Gorbella, followed by Avenue Bellevue and Boulevard Cessole. The latter merges into Boulevard Gambetta (head south for 10 minutes). Turn left onto Rue de France. The hotel is visible 250 m away.
